Case Study

Monday.com aimed to reduce the environmental impact of Elevate, their annual multi day innovation conference for 1,000 participants, by implementing sustainable event practices.

I was hired by Eventique, an award-winning agency, to integrate and execute sustainability plans for Elevate NYC in both 2023 and 2024.

Solutions:

  • We used water-based ink, PVC-free vinyl, and no chemical adhesives. Directional signage was printed on recycled, plastic-free Falcon Board. Our certified Sustainable Green Printer partner operates on green energy.

  • Scenic elements were designed around reusable standard panel sizes, saving money and materials, . Banner aluminum was returned for reuse, and scenic pieces were donated to arts organizations, nonprofits, and schools.

  • Seasonal ingredients came from a local organic farm, with traceable seafood and meat sourced from retired dairy cows. The menu featured hearty meat-free options that reduced the carbon footprint.

  • In 2023, we diverted over 90% of waste from landfills including donating 3.94 tons of scenic materials. In 2024, we diverted over 90% from landfills including 1,400 pounds of food scraps and compostable serveware.

All together, 5.3 Metric tons of waste was diverted from landfills through composting, recycling and scenic donation.

Organics were turned into biogas for energy and soil amendments that benefit local parks, gardens, and farms.

  • Key emission sources were identified to guide reduction strategies and support Scope 3 reporting. We tracked emissions for freight, graphics, food, and beverage, built items, energy usage and waste.
